In some cases, documents must also be certified by a notary or the appropriate authorities, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Authenticating translations is essential for ensuring that the documents are lawful and valid, in both national and international contexts. It’s a process that has a key meaning in maintaining effectiveness and correctness of translations, as well as facilitating the legal and administrative processes.

Legalization of documents in Russia

The Hague Convention: Russia is one of the signatories of The Hague Convention from 1961, which facilitates the process of legalization of documents used in international transactions. Thanks to this, documents from Russia can be legalized through the Apostille procedure. 

The Apostille procedure: Apostille is a special seal that is being put on the original document. In Russia, Apostille can be issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or other authorized institutions. This seal confirms the authenticity of the document and is accepted by all countries-members of The Hague Convention. 

Formalities: In order to receive Apostille for a document in Russia, it is essential to submit an application in the appropriate institution. This process requires presenting the original document and paying a fee. After approval, the document receives the Apostille seal, which makes it legal and ready to use in other countries-members of the Convention.

Russian is a Slavic language using a form of Cyrillic script. It is one of the most frequently used languages in the world. It is a first language of around 145 million people, and almsot 300 millions speaks it in general. It is the official language of Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus. The Russian alphabet consists of 33 letters, including 21 consonants, 10 vowels and 2 signs.

    Na biuro tlumaczen trafilismy szukajac biura z dobrymi opiniami i nie zawiedlismy się…Ale od poczatku. Planujemy ślub i złożyliśmy dokumenty do urzedylu stanu cywilnego, okazało sie, że w dokumentach widnieje błąd w akcie urodzenia ( imiona rodzicow były inne w Radzieckim akcie urodzenia, niz z obecnymi imionami, poniewaz w Zwiazku radzieckim pisownia byla inna), dlatego tez potrzebowalismy szybko przetlumaczyc akt urodzenia jak i inne dokumenty z jezyka Łotewskiego na jezyk Ukrainski, ponad to z jezyka Ukrainskiego na Polski, oraz z Łotewskiego na Polski.     To biuro tłumaczeń znalazłam przez przypadek w internecie na ostatnią chwilę kiedy musiałam zrezygnować z innego tłumacza. Nigdy nie spotkałam się z tak pomocnymi i fachowymi osobami jak państwo pracujący tam. Zlecenie wykonane na czas (mieliśmy mały problem z przesyłką, ale to tylko i wyłącznie wina Poczty Polskiej, biuro zrobiło wszystko co mogli a nawet i wiecej, stanęli na głowie bym mogła dostać dokumenty na czas, a ten gonił nieubłaganie), szybkie odpowiedzi mailem, wyczerpujące informacje i wyrozumiałe podejscie do klienta.
